If you’ve got an appetite for 90’s inspired activewear and athleisure pieces, Secndnture is bound to grab your attention…

Launched last month by body-positive influencer and model Jordyn Woods, Secndnture aims to bring affordable, size-inclusive, street style inspired athleticwear to the world. As a fan of throwback streetstyle and newbie brands, I was immediately drawn to the collection. I love the styling, jewel colors and photoshop-free photography, but the jury is still out on how well the pieces actually perform while working out. The name Secndture is an ode to the brand’s belief that activewear should be “a second skin” however the many of the fabrics used strike me as unbreathable, questionably dynamic and in some cases, ill-fitting.

For her first foray into product development, Woods partnered with Instaco, which collaborates with influencers to launch brands and gained notoriety for handling Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics line. Sure, they are proven at executing projects and creating social media buzz, but are they good at manufacturing high-quality workout wear? I’m suspicious, but still a fan of the looks, and with everything priced between $40-75 I would use this collection for athleisure purposes. I’d pair the windbreaker with jeans and Air Maxs and rock the track pants with slides and a crop top. You into it?
