The most picturesque and magical mountain wedding I’ve been to happened a couple weeks ago when my brother wed his love over a three-day celebration at The Hideout. The venue is an expansive and remote property tucked off of Highway 88 near Kirkwood, CA. Replete with beautiful pines, wildflower meadows, gurgling streams, a Western style saloon, a pavilion barn and a stunning 5,000 square foot lodge – the enchantment is undeniable. We square danced, competed in ‘Mountain Olympics’, spent hours floating on the lake, and of course, built community with all the guests over good food, dancing, storytelling and celebrating love. Continue on for highlights from the weekend…
